| Frequently Asked Questions - Donors
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes. The Naperville Education Foundation (NEF) is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization, and we will mail the donor a receipt for any contribution made. Donations
can be made to a specific grant on the Fund A Grant page or to any other of our initiatives.
Please specify on your check which of our programs you would like to direct your
donation: Study Skills Academy, Kid Booster or to our General Fund.

How can I donate?
Once you choose which grant you would like to donate to, simply print off the receipt and
mail it in with your check. When your check is received, it will be credited to the correct grant.

How do I know that teachers' proposals are sound, and that materials will be used as promised?
The NEF works directly with District 203 and verifies teachers' identities, confirms existence of the materials requested, and reviews all proposals listed on Fund-A-Need.

How do I know that my donation went toward the project I chose?
In addition to receiving a receipt for tax purposes, donors will receive student/teacher thank you notes from the sponsored project. These educational experiences would not be available for our students without private contributions.
